Purpose & Outcomes
This two-week training is intended for persons who have lived experience of hardship and exclusion, and who are seeking to transform these experiences into becoming leaders and making a positive change in the world.
This training will help you:
- Understand the strengths of your lived experience
- Explore and overcome the challenges of this work
- Create a lived experience leadership action plan
This training includes a variety of lessons, study projects, deep dives, and extra resources to guide learning. You will be able to track your progress through quizzes, self-assessments, and a final project. Upon completion you will receive a Certificate of Achievement which includes your completion date and final score.
You will have two scheduled check-ins with the teacher to ask questions, and you can contact her anytime during the course for extra help by email or videoconference. This training is designed to be completed within a two week period with about 10 hours of training overall, and content is drip-released over this period. However, you can ask for an extension anytime if you need a pause.
This is an introductory level training, and there are no prerequisites.
