Purpose & Outcomes
This eight-week online course is intended for executives in the private, public, and nonprofit sector who would like to improve their leadership practice to effectively share power and lead collaborative, inclusive, and empowered teams who can make magic happen.
This course will help you:
- Understand diverse approaches to leadership
- Explore practices of power sharing and collaboration
- Create a personal leadership development plan
This course includes a variety of lessons, study projects, deep dives, and extra resources to guide learning. You will be able to track your progress through quizzes, self-assessments, and a final exam and project. Upon completion you will receive a Certificate of Achievement which includes your completion date and final score.
You will have five scheduled check-ins with the teacher to ask questions, and you can contact her anytime during the course for extra help by email or videoconference. This course is designed to be completed within a eight week period with about 40 hours of training overall, and content is drip-released over this period. However, you can ask for an extension anytime if you need a pause.
As a bonus, upon receiving your certificate you will be granted three months unlimited access to all of our trainings, assesments, and webinars, as well as a variety of additional learning paths to deepen your learning. You will continue to have access to live check-ins with the teacher for coaching and guidance up to twice a month during this time.
This is an intermediate level course. It is recommended for those who already have a working understanding of participatory engagement and decision-making. If you are not currently working in these areas, it is recommended that you first complete the Participatory Engagement Training before registration.
